Fees and charges from 1 April 2024 - 31st March 2025
Fees are reviewed every year and all prices include VAT where applicable.
Burials
Interments for North Herts residents are charged the fee as stated (single fees).
Single fees also apply to non-residents of North Herts where a plot was originally purchased at single fees.
Quadruple fees apply to any non-residents for the purchase of new plots and where the plot was originally purchased at quadruple fees. Quadruple fees will be charged for all fees associated with the purchase of, interment to and memorial placement on the grave. These fees will apply unless the resident has been removed from the North Herts district for a period of up to 5 years for the purpose of nursing, hospitalisation, recuperative care or for pursuance of a course for further education.
Interments are available between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
Saturday interments can be booked by contacting the Burials Team. It must take place before 12.00 noon. Interment fee will be charged at double rate.

For green burials (Meadow and Woodland area) only single depth (5ft) interments are permitted.
Child burials
Burial is free for a person under the age of 18 (including stillborns) if one or both parents are North Herts residents at the time of interment.
Double fees apply if both parents are not North Herts residents at the time of interment.
Cremated remains
All ashes grave spaces are for a maximum of 2 interments.

Mausoleum
Fees are charged at single rate regardless of residence. Remainder of fee payable on entombment - As of March 2024 only 1 niche remaining.

Memorials
Single fees apply to all graves purchased at single fee and North Herts residents.
Quadruple fees applies to graves purchased at quadruple fee and any non-North Herts residents.
Fees will be reduced by 50% if the memorial is for somebody under 18.

Book of Remembrance
A book of remembrance is available at Icknield Way and Wilbury Hills Cemeteries. Prices are available on request and are subject to additional 20% VAT charge.
